Solomon Islands celebrates 48 years of independence today! Across Solomon Islands, open learning is creating more flexible ways for people to access education and develop new skills. The country is strengthening its capacity for open and distance learning (ODL), exploring the use of open educational resources, and expanding micro-credentials to support more inclusive lifelong learning. Efforts to build teachers' confidence and skills in using AI are also helping prepare educators and students for the future of STEM education.
